Thousands of Romanians march for #rEUnification in Alba Iulia, marking the country’s Centenary

The official 1st December celebrations in Alba Iulia, Romania’s unification capital, kicked off with a #rEUnification rally attended by thousands from Romania, the Republic of Moldova as well the Romanian diaspora.

Romanians from all over Europe travelled to Alba Iulia to march for the rEUnification of the Romanian people, separated following the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact and the subsequent illegal occupation by the Soviet Union of the territory known today as the Republic of Moldova.
